Shrewsbury Cantata Choir intended to present Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass (Mass in C Major) on Saturday 21st March 2020 at St Chad's Church, Shrewsbury.

Unfortunately England went into it's first Covid 19 lockdown and our concert could not go ahead.

The concert is not abandoned.... merely postponed. 

Covid and inoculations willing we intend to present this programme in June 2021. Watch this space.

On Thursday 5 March 2020 our intrepid publicity officer Bob Fowke (bass) was interviewed at some length by Mark Elliott. Bob was the main feature on Mark's 7pm show and Bob entertained the radio audience with a spirited account of the background to the origin of Mozart's Requiem.
